BBQ would be better if they used charcoal instead of gas grills. Kitchen cooked food is good. We ordered jap chae and bi bim bap as well as grill meats. |

Unfortunately, they got there before we did and the entire tour group engulfed the restaurant. We had to wait until they finished before we got seated. The food here is excellent. Kal bi short ribs were richly marbled with fat and grilled right in front of us. Everything else we ordered was tasty: pindaettok (mungbean pancakes), dolsot bibimbap (bibimbap in stone bowl), some sort of kimchee pancakes, sun du bu chigae (spicy tofu soup) and a dish of raw scallions tossed in a spicy dressing which went perfectly with the beef. Friendly service, and tasty food, but try to catch them before the tour group does! |

| | Tuesday 02nd of August 2005 03:07:43 PM | | Our group, with consisted of over 20 high school students, went to Han Il Kwan on the last day of school for a "Beginning of Summer" celebration. The exterior was very impressive. The waiter who took our order was not very friendly, but he was probably annoyed with our loud group. Grilling our own food was fun! The four of us ordered chicken and beef (meant to be two entrees), and there was more than enough for all of us. You get a table full of side dishes with every order - including a hot and spicy tofu soup, cucumer salad, kim chee (of course!), rice, and much more. Each entree costs about $10. The chicken was delicious! |
